Abu Dhabi Indian Expat Celebrates Dh25,000 Prize Win in Big Ticket Draw.

An Indian expatriate living in Abu Dhabi has won Dh25,000 in the latest Big Ticket weekly draw, receiving the unexpected cash prize and celebrating a significant financial windfall after his winning entry was selected.

Four Expats From India and Pakistan Win Dh100,000 in Big Ticket September Draw

The final weekly e-draw of September brought a pleasant surprise for four UAE-based participants from India and Pakistan, who collectively won Dh100,000 through Big Ticket Abu Dhabi.

The four winners each received Dh25,000, turning their latest entries into unexpected cash prizes. Their reactions ranged from disbelief and excitement to plans to put the winnings towards personal goals and future ambitions.

Among the winners was Theslimul Arif Ponnath, an Indian national living in the UAE, who was delighted to learn that his Big Ticket entry had been selected for a Dh25,000 prize.

Another winner, 29-year-old Rockey Subba, discovered the news after waking up to the unexpected announcement.

First Big Ticket entry brings Dh25,000 win

Subba, who is from India, has been living in Dubai with his family for the past six years. He works in the transport sector and had only recently become familiar with Big Ticket after a friend told him about the draw.

Encouraged by his friend’s experience, Subba decided to participate himself.

What made his win particularly surprising was that it came with his first-ever Big Ticket entry.

For the purchase, Subba joined forces with five friends, with the group sharing the cost of the tickets.

He selected his number using his birthday as inspiration, believing it could bring him good fortune.

However, when the organisers contacted him with the news that his ticket had won, Subba was not immediately aware of what had happened.

He was asleep when the winning call came through.

“When I had just woken up, they told me I had won, so at first I didn’t believe it,” he said.

The organisers then asked him to verify the result online.

After checking the information himself and seeing his name listed as a winner, the reality finally sank in.

“When I went on and actually saw my name there, I realised it was true. I was so happy,” he said.

Prize to be divided among friends

Because Subba had purchased the ticket together with five friends, the Dh25,000 prize will be shared among the group.

He said he has no elaborate plans for the money at this stage and may simply use his portion for some shopping and personal enjoyment.

“I might do a little shopping and enjoy the win,” he said.

Despite the surprise of winning on his first attempt, Subba is already thinking about participating again.

His immediate success has encouraged him to aim for the biggest prize available.

“Now I’m hoping to win the grand prize,” he added.

Abu Dhabi resident celebrates another win

Kunal Pillai, a 34-year-old IT engineer originally from Mumbai, was another participant to receive Dh25,000.

Pillai has lived in Abu Dhabi for 11 years and resides there with his wife.

His connection with Big Ticket began after friends introduced him to the draw. He has been participating for approximately a year, turning the experience into something he enjoys with his wife and another couple who are close friends.

For the September draw, the group bought six tickets and shared the task of selecting the numbers.

Pillai selected three numbers, while his friend was responsible for choosing the remaining three.

The group did not initially know that their entry had been successful.

When Pillai received the call from Big Ticket, he was surprised and needed a moment to understand what was happening.

“I was shocked at first, but once I realized it was really Big Ticket calling, I was so happy. I couldn’t believe we had actually won,” he said.

Birthday month adds to the celebration

The Dh25,000 prize will also be divided among the members of Pillai’s group.

With his birthday taking place during the month, he is considering using his share for something special.

“Since it’s my birthday month, I might use my share to spend a little on myself and enjoy it,” he said.

The win has given the group an additional reason to celebrate.

Pillai also confirmed that the group intends to continue participating in future Big Ticket draws.

Pakistani driver wins after random selection

The fourth winner was Muhammad Imran Abdul, a 32-year-old driver from Pakistan who has been living in Abu Dhabi for 15 years.

Unlike the other winners who selected numbers based on personal preferences or shared decisions, Muhammad allowed chance to determine his entry.

He had first become familiar with Big Ticket through online draw broadcasts and had occasionally participated since then.

He normally purchased tickets on his own rather than joining a group.

For the winning draw, he simply selected a ticket at random.

That spontaneous decision resulted in his first Big Ticket win.

Muhammad said the winning call left him extremely happy because he had never previously received a prize from the draw.

“I was so happy when I received the call. I had never won before, so hearing that my ticket was the winning one was such a great feeling,” he said.

Winner hopes to start his own venture

Muhammad said the Dh25,000 could help him pursue a longer-term ambition.

Rather than spending the entire amount on immediate purchases, he is considering using the money as the foundation for starting his own business.

“I want to use the money to start something of my own,” he said.

He has not yet decided exactly what form that venture will take, but the prize has given him an opportunity to explore the idea.

Muhammad also indicated that he intends to participate in future draws.

“Hopefully, I’ll take part again and try my luck once more,” he said.

October brings new Big Ticket prizes

With September’s final weekly draw now complete, Big Ticket has announced a new set of prizes for October participants.

The main attraction for the month is a Dh25 million grand prize.

The winner of the top prize will be announced during Big Ticket’s live draw on November 3.

In addition to the grand prize, five consolation winners will each receive a 200-gram, 24-karat gold bar.

The gold prizes will also be part of the November 3 live draw, giving participants additional opportunities to receive a major reward.

Weekly gold prizes planned

Big Ticket’s October promotion will also feature weekly e-draws.

Four winners will be selected in each weekly e-draw, with every winner receiving a 200-gram, 24-karat gold bar.

The weekly draws will be broadcast live, allowing participants to follow the results online.

Viewers can watch the e-draws through the Big Ticket YouTube channel and the organisation’s website.

The scheduled broadcast time is 7:30pm.

Big Spin opportunity for October participants

Participants purchasing at least one Big Ticket during October will also be eligible for another opportunity linked to the November live draw.

Three participants will be selected during the live draw on November 3 to take part in the Big Spin.

Those selected participants will then return for the Big Spin event on December 3.

Each participant could potentially win as much as Dh1 million through the spin.

The promotion therefore gives October ticket holders opportunities beyond the main Dh25 million draw, with gold prizes, the Big Spin and car prizes also included in the overall schedule.

Two cars included in upcoming draws

Two Dream Car prizes are also scheduled as part of the upcoming Big Ticket events.

A Range Rover Velar is due to be awarded during the November 3 draw.

A Nissan Patrol will be the featured Dream Car prize in the December 3 draw.

The two vehicle prizes add another category of rewards to the upcoming programme alongside the cash, gold and Big Spin opportunities.

September winners reflect different stories

The four winners from the final September weekly e-draw came to Big Ticket through different routes.

Subba had only just been introduced to the draw by a friend before making his first purchase.

Pillai had been participating for about a year with his wife and close friends.

Muhammad had followed the draws online and occasionally purchased tickets independently.

Ponnath, meanwhile, was among the UAE-based participants who discovered that his entry had resulted in a Dh25,000 prize.

Their stories also show the different ways participants choose their entries.

Subba based his selection on his birthday, while Pillai and his friends divided the number selection between them.

Muhammad took a completely random approach.

Despite those different strategies, all four participants ended up receiving the same cash prize from the final weekly September e-draw.

Friends share in unexpected prize

For Subba and Pillai, the winnings will not remain with a single individual because their entries were purchased collectively.

Subba bought his ticket with five friends, while Pillai participated alongside his wife and another couple of friends.

As a result, the Dh25,000 prize will be divided among the members of their respective groups.

Both winners described personal plans for their shares rather than announcing major financial commitments.

Subba said he may spend some of his money on shopping, while Pillai is considering treating himself during his birthday month.

For both, however, the experience of receiving the winning call was itself a major part of the occasion.

From surprise calls to future ambitions

The winners’ reactions varied, but surprise was a common theme.

Subba initially questioned the news because he had been asleep when the organisers contacted him.

Pillai said he was shocked when he first realised who was calling and only became convinced after confirming the result.

Muhammad described the call as particularly meaningful because it represented his first win.

The prizes have also influenced their future plans.

Subba is now hoping to eventually win the grand prize.

Pillai intends to continue participating with his group.

Muhammad hopes to use his winnings to begin working towards an independent business venture and plans to try his luck again.

New opportunities announced for October

The conclusion of the September promotion has been followed by a fresh schedule of prizes for October.

The headline reward is the Dh25 million grand prize, which will be awarded during the November 3 live draw.

Five additional participants will have the opportunity to win 200-gram, 24-karat gold bars as consolation prizes.

Weekly e-draws during October will provide another route to gold prizes, with four winners selected each week.

Each weekly winner will receive a 200-gram, 24-karat gold bar.

Participants and viewers can follow the weekly results through Big Ticket’s online platforms, with the e-draws scheduled for 7:30pm.

Big Spin and Dream Car prizes

The October promotion also extends beyond cash and gold.

Anyone who purchases at least one Big Ticket during the month will be eligible for selection as one of three Big Spin participants during the November 3 live event.

Those three participants will subsequently compete in the Big Spin on December 3.

The maximum prize available through the Big Spin is Dh1 million for each participant.

Meanwhile, two Dream Car prizes have been scheduled over the next two major draws.

The first is a Range Rover Velar, which is set to be drawn on November 3.

The second is a Nissan Patrol, scheduled for December 3.

September closes with Dh100,000 awarded

The final weekly e-draw of September therefore ended with four participants sharing Dh100,000.

For the winners, the Dh25,000 prizes arrived through very different circumstances, from a first-time entry and a birthday-based number selection to a random ticket choice.

Their stories have now become part of the latest Big Ticket winner announcements as the promotion moves into its October schedule.

With a Dh25 million grand prize, weekly gold awards, Big Spin opportunities and two Dream Car draws planned for the coming months, Big Ticket’s next series of events will offer participants several different prize categories.

For the September winners, however, the focus is on what they have already received: an unexpected Dh25,000 prize and, in the case of some winners, new possibilities for spending, celebrating or pursuing longer-term plans.
