UAE Weather Forecast: Fair Conditions Expected With Fog Warning and High Temperatures

The United Arab Emirates is expected to experience generally fair weather on Saturday, although partly cloudy conditions are likely to develop in several parts of the country as the day progresses. According to the National Centre of Meteorology, cloud cover is expected to become more noticeable toward the eastern and southern parts of the UAE during the afternoon.

Despite the relatively pleasant appearance of the skies in some areas, residents can expect another very warm day, with temperatures remaining high across much of the country. The mercury could climb to around 45ºC in some locations, highlighting the continuing intensity of the summer heat. In Abu Dhabi, temperatures are forecast to reach approximately 42ºC, while Dubai could also see a maximum temperature of around 42ºC.

Night-time temperatures will be considerably lower, although conditions will remain warm. The minimum temperature in Abu Dhabi could fall to about 30ºC, while Dubai may record lows of approximately 29ºC. The contrast between the daytime highs and overnight lows means that residents can expect particularly hot conditions during the afternoon, followed by warm and humid weather after sunset.

One of the main weather concerns for Saturday morning will be reduced visibility caused by fog. A red alert has been issued because of the possibility of dense fog developing in affected areas. The National Centre of Meteorology has warned that horizontal visibility could deteriorate significantly, with visibility potentially becoming even more limited at certain times.

The fog risk is expected to be particularly relevant during the early morning hours, with the warning period extending from approximately 4.43am until 8.30am. Motorists travelling during this window are likely to encounter rapidly changing visibility conditions, particularly across areas where fog formation becomes more concentrated. Drivers are advised to exercise caution and allow additional time for their journeys if visibility is affected.

The weather pattern is expected to change somewhat as the day continues. While Saturday morning may begin with relatively clear or fair conditions in many areas, clouds are forecast to develop over the eastern and southern parts of the country during the afternoon. These clouds are not expected to dominate the entire country, meaning conditions will vary from one region to another.

Humidity will also be an important feature of the forecast. Overnight and into Sunday morning, humidity levels are expected to increase across some coastal and inland locations. The combination of warm temperatures and elevated moisture could create favourable conditions for the development of fog or mist in some areas.

In Abu Dhabi, humidity is forecast to range between 30 and 90 per cent, while Dubai could see levels varying from approximately 25 to 85 per cent. Such wide variations are possible because humidity can differ substantially depending on the location, time of day and proximity to the coast. Higher moisture levels during the night and early morning may also contribute to reduced visibility in susceptible areas.

Winds are expected to remain relatively light to moderate for much of the day. However, they may become stronger at times, particularly during periods when local conditions cause wind speeds to increase. Forecast wind speeds are expected to range from around 10 to 25 kilometres per hour, with gusts potentially reaching as high as 40 kilometres per hour.

The changing wind conditions could have an impact on visibility in some locations. Where winds become stronger, dust or other particles may be lifted from the ground, potentially creating additional reductions in visibility, particularly in exposed areas. Residents and motorists should therefore remain alert to changes in weather conditions throughout the day.

Conditions along the country’s surrounding waters are also expected to remain manageable, although some fluctuations are anticipated. The Arabian Gulf is forecast to see slight to moderate sea conditions at times. Similar conditions are expected in the Oman Sea, where the state of the water could vary during the day.

For people planning marine activities, the forecast indicates that sea conditions should be monitored closely, particularly because wind speeds may strengthen periodically. Although conditions are not expected to remain rough throughout the forecast period, changes in wind strength can influence wave conditions and make the sea more challenging at certain times.

The overall Saturday forecast therefore points to a combination of hot temperatures, varying cloud cover, periods of humidity and an early-morning fog risk. The most significant weather warning concerns visibility, with the red alert indicating that fog could become dense enough to create hazardous driving conditions in affected areas.

The possibility of fog is not limited to the early hours of Saturday. With humidity expected to remain high across some coastal and internal areas overnight and into Sunday morning, there is also a chance that mist or fog could form again later. Residents should therefore remain aware of local weather updates, especially if travelling during the late-night, early-morning or dawn periods.

The temperature forecast demonstrates the continued strength of the summer heat across the UAE. A possible national high of 45ºC means that outdoor conditions could become particularly difficult during the hottest part of the afternoon. In Abu Dhabi and Dubai, temperatures are expected to approach 42ºC, making it important for residents and visitors to take appropriate precautions when spending extended periods outside.

The heat may be especially noticeable in areas exposed to direct sunlight. People undertaking outdoor work, travelling long distances or participating in outdoor activities are likely to experience conditions that feel significantly hotter during the afternoon than during the early morning or evening.

Although the forecast describes Saturday as generally fair to partly cloudy, the development of clouds in the eastern and southern regions will add some variation to the day’s weather. The cloud formations are expected to become more apparent during the afternoon, providing a change from the clearer conditions likely to dominate earlier in the day.

Weather conditions in the UAE can change quickly over relatively short distances, particularly between coastal, inland and mountainous areas. As a result, residents in different emirates and regions may experience different combinations of temperature, humidity, cloud cover and visibility.

The forecast for Abu Dhabi suggests a particularly warm day, with temperatures potentially reaching 42ºC before dropping to around 30ºC overnight. Dubai is expected to follow a similar pattern, with a projected high of 42ºC and a nighttime low of approximately 29ºC. The high humidity range in both cities could make the weather feel more uncomfortable, particularly after sunset and during the early hours.

The combination of high humidity and warm overnight temperatures can also influence how quickly fog develops. When moisture in the air condenses under suitable atmospheric conditions, visibility can decline rapidly. This is why motorists may encounter significantly different conditions within a short period while travelling during the early morning.

The red fog alert should therefore be taken seriously by anyone planning to drive during the specified warning period. Reduced horizontal visibility can make it harder to identify vehicles, road signs and other obstacles from a safe distance. Drivers should adjust their speed according to the conditions and maintain an appropriate distance from other vehicles whenever visibility deteriorates.

As the morning progresses beyond the fog-warning period, visibility is expected to improve in areas where the fog clears. The weather should then become generally fair, although partial cloud cover will remain possible. During the afternoon, clouds are expected to become more prominent toward the east and south.

Wind conditions will also contribute to the overall weather picture. While speeds are generally expected to remain between 10 and 25 kilometres per hour, occasional increases could push speeds to around 40 kilometres per hour. This means that conditions may feel different at various times of the day, particularly in open or exposed locations.

The marine forecast remains relatively moderate, with the Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea expected to experience slight to moderate conditions at times. People heading out onto the water should nevertheless pay attention to the latest marine updates, as wind changes can influence sea conditions during the day.

Overall, Saturday is expected to bring another hot day to the UAE, with mostly fair skies giving way to increased cloud development in eastern and southern areas during the afternoon. Temperatures will remain firmly in the summer range, with the national maximum potentially reaching 45ºC and highs of about 42ºC forecast for both Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

The early morning will be the period requiring the greatest caution because of the possibility of dense fog and sharply reduced visibility. The red alert covers the period from 4.43am to 8.30am, when visibility could deteriorate considerably in affected locations.

Humidity will continue to play a role after sunset and into Sunday morning, particularly in coastal and inland areas. With humidity potentially reaching 90 per cent in Abu Dhabi and 85 per cent in Dubai, conditions may remain muggy overnight, while the additional moisture could increase the likelihood of mist or fog.

Residents can expect winds to remain mostly light to moderate, occasionally becoming fresh, with speeds generally between 10 and 25 kilometres per hour and the possibility of gusts reaching 40 kilometres per hour. At sea, conditions are forecast to range from slight to moderate at times in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea.

In short, the UAE’s Saturday weather will feature a mixture of intense daytime heat, generally fair to partly cloudy skies, increased cloud cover in the east and south, and a notable risk of fog during the early morning. While the afternoon will bring temperatures close to the seasonal extremes, overnight humidity could once again create favourable conditions for mist or fog in some parts of the country.

Anyone travelling early in the morning should remain particularly cautious because of the reduced-visibility warning, while those planning outdoor activities should take the high temperatures into account. Marine users should also monitor conditions before heading out, especially if winds strengthen.

The forecast ultimately suggests a typically hot UAE summer day, with conditions varying throughout the 24-hour period. Clearer and fairer weather is expected across many areas, but clouds, humidity, fog and changing winds will provide several important features for residents to keep in mind as Saturday progresses into Sunday.
