This collaboration offers ADU students access to internships, mentorships, and research opportunities across DAMAC’s diverse sectors, including property development, hospitality, retail, logistics, and capital markets
Abu Dhabi University (ADU) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with DAMAC Group to enhance academic standards, advance career development and expand applied‑research initiatives. Under the agreement, students will gain firsthand industry exposure via DAMAC’s areas such as real estate development, hospitality, retail, logistics and capital markets. Joint research projects and knowledge‑exchange programmes will also be promoted. The MoU was formalised at ADU’s Dubai campus, signed by Dr Anas Najdawi (Director, Dubai campus & Associate Professor of MIS at ADU) and Shirin Sehgal (Vice President – People & Performance, DAMAC). Dr Najdawi stated that ADU is dedicated to giving students the practical tools and experiences needed to thrive in sectors such as real estate, hospitality and digital business.
The collaboration with DAMAC combines ADU’s academic expertise with hands‑on industry engagement. Through this partnership, students will access internships, mentorships and capstone research; meanwhile, DAMAC staff will benefit from scholarships and tailored training at ADU’s Dubai campus, reinforcing the link between academic learning and workforce readiness.
