The statement means that UAE authorities have issued alerts due to expected rain and rough sea conditions, while Dubai recorded its lowest temperature at 22ºC, advising residents to take precautions.
UAE Weather: Warnings released for rainfall, turbulent seas; Dubai records minimum temperature of 22ºC

As unsettled weather persists across the UAE, residents can expect partly cloudy to overcast skies on Monday, December 15, 2025. The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) forecasted rainfall in some eastern, northern, and coastal regions.
Light to moderate winds will carry dust and sand, reducing horizontal visibility in some areas. The sea is predicted to be moderate to rough at times in both the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman. The NCM issued warnings for rough seas from 3:15am to 3pm on Tuesday. Orange and yellow alerts were also announced for areas in Khor Fakkan and Fujairah.
Temperatures are expected to reach highs of 28ºC in Abu Dhabi and Sharjah, while Dubai could hit 30ºC. Minimum temperatures will drop to 21ºC in Abu Dhabi, 22ºC in Dubai, and 19ºC in Sharjah. Humidity levels are forecast between 25–65% in Abu Dhabi and 30–55% in Dubai.
In the mountainous areas of Ras Al Khaimah, residents and visitors will experience cooler conditions, with temperatures dropping as low as 9ºC.
The NCM previously released advisories, urging people to follow safety instructions as the UAE experiences unstable weather conditions, which are expected to last throughout the week.
Fujairah and surrounding areas saw scattered rainfall on Monday, ranging from light to heavy, impacting Murbah, Masafi, Al Farfar, and central Fujairah city. The rain was accompanied by a significant drop in temperatures as the country continues to be affected by an active low-pressure system.
Authorities have advised motorists to drive cautiously as visibility is reduced due to blowing dust and sand, particularly in desert and open areas. Roads in eastern and northern regions may become slippery in spots where rainfall accumulates, making travel potentially hazardous. Drivers are encouraged to maintain safe distances, reduce speed, and turn on headlights when necessary. Residents are also warned against unnecessary travel during heavy rain periods. Emergency and civil defense teams have been placed on standby to respond quickly to any accidents or road-related incidents caused by the unstable weather conditions expected throughout the week.
Coastal areas are experiencing rougher sea conditions, making navigation risky for small and medium-sized boats. Fishermen and commercial shipping operators have been advised to exercise extreme caution and avoid venturing into turbulent waters unless absolutely necessary. Authorities have also recommended securing docks, marine equipment, and vessels to prevent damage. Tourists visiting beaches and coastal attractions are urged to follow safety advisories, stay informed of sudden changes, and avoid water activities during periods of high waves and strong winds. The National Centre of Meteorology continues to monitor sea conditions closely and provide regular updates to ensure public safety in maritime zones.
The impact of unstable weather is also noticeable on outdoor events and construction projects. Organizers of public gatherings, sporting events, and festivals are being urged to monitor weather alerts closely and postpone or relocate activities if necessary. Construction sites have been instructed to secure equipment and materials to prevent accidents caused by high winds or rainfall. Schools and institutions in affected areas are being asked to adjust outdoor schedules and take precautionary measures for students’ safety. Residents are advised to prepare for intermittent showers and strong winds throughout the week, as the low-pressure system influencing the country is expected to persist for several days.
In the mountainous regions of Ras Al Khaimah, cooler temperatures and windy conditions are expected to impact residents and visitors alike. Early morning and nighttime temperatures are forecast to drop significantly, requiring adequate clothing and heating arrangements. Hiking, trekking, and outdoor recreational activities in the mountains are discouraged until conditions improve. Local authorities have issued guidance for drivers navigating mountain roads, where visibility may be further reduced by fog or mist. The combination of low temperatures, wind, and rainfall makes the region particularly susceptible to slippery conditions, prompting authorities to urge vigilance and caution for both residents and tourists exploring these areas.
