The United Arab Emirates is mourning the deaths of two members of its armed forces following an incident during a training mission conducted within the country.

The Ministry of Defence announced the deaths and expressed its condolences to the families of the two servicemen, recognising their service and sacrifice.

The deceased were identified by the ministry as Major Abdalla Shamis Almenhali and candidate Saeed Abdalla Alshamsi.

In an official statement, the ministry extended its deepest sympathies to the families of the two men and conveyed its support to their relatives during what it described as a difficult period of loss.

The ministry also offered prayers for the deceased, asking Almighty God to grant them mercy and give their families patience, strength and comfort as they cope with their loss.

The announcement comes as the UAE continues to mourn members of its armed forces who have lost their lives while participating in military training activities.

Ministry Confirms Deaths

The Ministry of Defence said the two servicemen died while undertaking a training mission in the UAE.

The statement did not provide additional information about the circumstances surrounding the incident or specify the exact location where the training activity took place.

Training missions are an important part of military preparation, allowing service members to develop and maintain operational skills, coordination and readiness. Such exercises can involve a range of activities designed to prepare personnel for different operational situations.

The deaths of Major Abdalla Shamis Almenhali and candidate Saeed Abdalla Alshamsi prompted an official expression of mourning from the defence authorities.

Through its statement, the ministry conveyed its condolences to the families and relatives of the two servicemen and acknowledged the loss suffered by those closest to them.

The ministry’s message also included prayers for the deceased and their families, reflecting the customary expressions of sympathy made by UAE authorities following the loss of members of the armed forces.

Condolences to the Families

In its message, the Ministry of Defence placed particular emphasis on the families of the two servicemen.

The authority expressed its sincere condolences and sympathy to their relatives, offering support at a time of grief.

The ministry prayed that Almighty God would bless the deceased with mercy and provide their families with the strength and patience needed to face the loss.

Such statements are commonly issued by UAE authorities when members of the armed forces die while serving or participating in official duties.

The announcement of the two deaths has brought attention once again to the risks associated with military training and the importance of preparedness within the armed forces.

Although training exercises are designed to improve operational readiness and ensure that personnel are prepared for their responsibilities, they can involve demanding and potentially hazardous activities.

The ministry did not disclose further details about what led to the deaths of the two servicemen.

Another Training-Related Death Earlier This Year

The latest announcement follows another fatal incident involving an Emirati serviceman earlier this year.

On June 27, the Ministry of Defence announced the death of First Corporal Issa Ghaloum Al Baloushi, who also lost his life while taking part in a training mission inside the country.

According to the ministry’s statement at the time, the training activity was conducted on Saturday, June 27. However, the authority did not release additional information concerning the circumstances of the incident.

The ministry identified Al Baloushi by rank and name and conveyed its condolences to his family following his death.

The authority also offered its deepest sympathy to his relatives, recognising the loss suffered by his family.

The earlier incident, like the latest deaths, occurred during a military training mission conducted within the UAE.

Remembering Those Who Serve

The deaths of military personnel during official duties are significant events for the armed forces and their families.

Members of the UAE’s military services undertake training programmes to maintain professional standards, develop operational capabilities and ensure readiness for a range of responsibilities.

Training activities can involve physical exercises, technical instruction, operational simulations and other forms of preparation. The nature of individual missions varies depending on the personnel involved and the objectives of the exercise.

The ministry’s statements following the deaths focused on remembering the servicemen and supporting their families.

In the latest announcement, Major Abdalla Shamis Almenhali and candidate Saeed Abdalla Alshamsi were formally identified as the two personnel who died during the training mission.

The ministry did not provide information about the professional backgrounds of the two men or the specific training activity they were undertaking when the incident occurred.

It also did not indicate whether an investigation had been launched or whether additional findings would be released later.

Official Statement Offers Support

The Ministry of Defence’s statement conveyed both its mourning and its condolences to the families.

The authority expressed its sincere sympathy to the relatives of the deceased and asked Almighty God to grant them mercy.

It also prayed for strength and consolation for their families, who are now facing the loss of their loved ones.

The wording of the statement reflected the importance placed on supporting families of fallen servicemen and acknowledging the personal sacrifice associated with military service.

For the families, the loss represents a deeply personal tragedy, while for the armed forces it marks the death of personnel during an official training activity.

The ministry’s decision to publicly identify the deceased also ensures that their service is formally acknowledged.

Previous Loss Involving First Corporal Issa Ghaloum Al Baloushi

The death of First Corporal Issa Ghaloum Al Baloushi on June 27 had also been publicly announced by the Ministry of Defence.

At the time, the ministry confirmed that Al Baloushi had died while participating in a training mission in the UAE.

The authority stated that the training activity had taken place on Saturday, June 27, but did not reveal further information regarding the circumstances that resulted in his death.

Following the announcement, the ministry extended its deepest condolences and sincere sympathies to the family of the serviceman.

The ministry’s message expressed solidarity with the family and acknowledged the loss of a member of the country’s armed forces.

No additional details about the incident were included in the statement.

The latest deaths therefore follow an earlier fatality connected to a training mission, although the available official statements do not establish whether the incidents were related.

Importance of Military Training

Military training is an essential component of maintaining operational readiness.

Personnel are required to regularly participate in exercises and missions that help them develop the skills necessary to perform their duties effectively. These activities may simulate operational situations and are intended to strengthen coordination, discipline and preparedness.

Training can also involve complex environments and demanding conditions, depending on the nature of the exercise.

While the primary purpose of such missions is preparation and skill development, military exercises can carry inherent risks.

The Ministry of Defence has not disclosed the specific nature of the training mission in which Major Abdalla Shamis Almenhali and candidate Saeed Abdalla Alshamsi were involved.

Consequently, details about the type of exercise, the circumstances surrounding the incident and any contributing factors remain unavailable in the official statement.

The ministry’s announcement instead concentrated on confirming the deaths and conveying condolences to the families.

UAE Mourns Loss of Servicemen

The deaths have prompted an official expression of grief from the Ministry of Defence as the UAE mourns the loss of two members of its military community.

Major Abdalla Shamis Almenhali and candidate Saeed Abdalla Alshamsi were named by the ministry following their deaths during the training mission.

The authority conveyed its condolences to their families and offered prayers for the deceased.

The ministry asked Almighty God to grant the two servicemen mercy and to provide their families with patience and strength.

The statement did not provide further information about the incident, including its location, the nature of the training exercise or the circumstances that led to the deaths.

The lack of additional details means that the official account currently remains limited to confirmation that the two servicemen died while undertaking a training mission within the UAE.

Continued Support for Military Families

For families of military personnel, the support offered by defence authorities can be particularly important following the loss of a loved one.

The Ministry of Defence’s condolences reflect its recognition of the impact of the deaths on the relatives of the two servicemen.

The authority’s prayers for the families’ strength and solace underscore the personal dimension of the incident.

The ministry similarly expressed its sympathy following the death of First Corporal Issa Ghaloum Al Baloushi earlier in the year.

In each case, the official statements have focused on acknowledging the deceased and offering condolences to their families rather than providing extensive operational information.

This approach also reflects the sensitivity surrounding military incidents, particularly when they involve active personnel and ongoing training activities.

No Further Circumstances Released

As of the ministry’s announcement, no detailed account of the circumstances surrounding the latest deaths had been made public.

The authority confirmed only that Major Abdalla Shamis Almenhali and candidate Saeed Abdalla Alshamsi died while carrying out a training mission within the country.

There was no information in the statement about the specific location, equipment involved, nature of the exercise or sequence of events leading to the fatalities.

Similarly, when the ministry announced the death of First Corporal Issa Ghaloum Al Baloushi on June 27, it confirmed that he had died during a training mission but did not provide further details about the incident.

Without additional official information, it would not be possible to establish the precise circumstances surrounding either event.

The Ministry of Defence’s latest statement therefore serves primarily as an official confirmation of the deaths and an expression of condolences to the families.

Tribute to Service and Sacrifice

The announcement of the deaths has highlighted the risks faced by military personnel even during training activities.

Members of the armed forces undertake demanding programmes designed to maintain their readiness and professional capabilities. These exercises are an important part of military service, but can also involve risks associated with complex operations and challenging environments.

The Ministry of Defence’s statement honours the two personnel by formally identifying them and acknowledging their deaths.

Major Abdalla Shamis Almenhali and candidate Saeed Abdalla Alshamsi will be remembered in the context of their service to the UAE armed forces.

The ministry’s condolences also recognise the grief experienced by their families and relatives.

By offering prayers for mercy for the deceased and strength for their families, the authority has conveyed its support while the country mourns their loss.

A Second Fatal Training Incident This Year

The deaths also come after the loss of First Corporal Issa Ghaloum Al Baloushi in another training-related incident earlier this year.

His death on June 27 was confirmed by the Ministry of Defence, which said that he had been participating in a training mission in the UAE.

Although the ministry confirmed the date and nature of the activity, it did not release details about what happened during the mission.

The authority subsequently offered its deepest condolences and sincere sympathies to Al Baloushi’s family.

The latest announcement involving Major Almenhali and candidate Alshamsi similarly provides limited information about the circumstances of the incident.

There is currently no official indication that the two incidents were connected.

Families Remain at the Centre of Official Condolences

Following the latest deaths, the Ministry of Defence has placed the families of the servicemen at the centre of its message.

The authority expressed sympathy to the relatives of Major Abdalla Shamis Almenhali and candidate Saeed Abdalla Alshamsi and conveyed its condolences during their period of mourning.

It also prayed for divine mercy for the deceased and asked for patience and comfort for those they left behind.

The same emphasis was evident in the ministry’s earlier response to the death of First Corporal Issa Ghaloum Al Baloushi.

In both instances, the official response has focused on honouring the deceased and supporting their families while providing only limited information about the training missions themselves.

UAE Defence Ministry Confirms Losses

The Ministry of Defence has confirmed the deaths of two servicemen following a training mission conducted in the UAE, identifying them as Major Abdalla Shamis Almenhali and candidate Saeed Abdalla Alshamsi.

The announcement has been accompanied by condolences to their families and prayers for the deceased.

The ministry has not released additional information about the incident or explained the circumstances that resulted in the deaths.

The announcement follows the death of First Corporal Issa Ghaloum Al Baloushi on June 27, who also died while undertaking a training mission in the country.

In that case, the ministry likewise refrained from providing details about the circumstances of the incident while extending condolences to the serviceman’s family.

Together, the incidents serve as a reminder of the risks associated with military training and the sacrifices made by members of the armed forces in the course of their duties.

For now, the Ministry of Defence’s official statement remains the primary source of information regarding the latest deaths. The authority has expressed its grief, honoured the two servicemen by naming them and conveyed its deepest sympathy to their families.

As the UAE mourns Major Abdalla Shamis Almenhali and candidate Saeed Abdalla Alshamsi, the ministry has called for mercy for the deceased and strength for their loved ones during this difficult period.
