Following several days of unsettled weather marked by intense rain, flooding, and hail, residents across the UAE experienced a noticeably colder weekend, with temperatures falling nationwide.<\/p>

The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has said that a slow increase in temperatures is expected from Monday, December 22, 2025. Even so, cooler conditions will persist in elevated regions, where mercury levels could still drop to around 4\u00b0C.<\/p>

During the day, temperatures are expected to climb to about 22\u00b0C in Abu Dhabi and 24\u00b0C in Dubai and Sharjah, slightly higher than Sunday\u2019s recorded highs of 21\u00b0C in Abu Dhabi and Sharjah and 22\u00b0C in Dubai. Night-time temperatures will stay relatively low, reaching around 13\u00b0C in Sharjah, 14\u00b0C in Abu Dhabi, and 15\u00b0C in Dubai.<\/p>

Skies will generally be partly cloudy, with a possibility of light showers in some areas. Low-level cloud formations are anticipated over offshore islands and parts of the western regions. Residents, particularly in western coastal and inland zones, can expect humid conditions overnight and into Tuesday morning.<\/p>

Meanwhile, the weather authority has issued a yellow warning for hazardous marine conditions. Moderate to strong northeasterly winds, reaching speeds of up to 40kmph, are likely to create rough seas in the Arabian Gulf, especially in northern waters, with waves rising to about six feet until 2pm. Comparable sea conditions are expected in the Sea of Oman, where strong winds and choppy waters may continue until 11am.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Authorities recommend staying updated with official weather bulletins and avoiding unnecessary sea travel while rough conditions persist. Motorists are also urged to remain vigilant, especially during early morning hours when humidity may lead to fog formation and reduced visibility in some internal and coastal areas. Residents planning outdoor activities should dress warmly during the evenings and early mornings, as cooler temperatures are expected to linger despite the gradual daytime warming trend. Across the UAE, the expected rise in temperatures on Monday will bring relief after the weekend\u2019s cold spell, yet caution is advised in mountainous and desert regions where daytime warmth may contrast sharply with chilly nights. Residents in elevated areas such as Jebel Jais and Hajar Mountains should be prepared for frost-like conditions early in the morning. Local authorities have reminded people to monitor road conditions, as lingering water from previous rainfall could cause slippery surfaces. Outdoor events and activities should be planned considering variable weather, while motorists are encouraged to drive carefully, especially on winding or elevated routes where sudden cold patches may appear.<\/p>

Meanwhile, urban areas are set to enjoy mostly clear skies with intermittent clouds, offering an opportunity for residents to engage in outdoor exercises and family activities. Parks, beaches, and public spaces will remain accessible, but the combination of humid mornings and cooler evenings may create localized fog, affecting visibility on main roads and highways. Authorities have emphasized following NCM guidance for safe commuting and travel plans.
