Cooler weather continues across the UAE, with light rain expected in some areas. Temperatures in Dubai and Abu Dhabi are forecast to reach a pleasant high of 25°C.
Cooler Conditions Continue as Light Rain Forecast and Highs Hit 25°C

The UAE’s National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has indicated that weather conditions across the country tomorrow are expected to remain mostly fair, alternating at times with partly cloudy skies. According to the forecast, low-level clouds may develop over certain northern parts of the country, bringing with them a possibility of light rainfall in isolated areas.
As night approaches and into the early hours of Friday morning, humidity levels are likely to increase, particularly over some inland regions. Residents may notice more moisture in the air during these periods. Winds are predicted to remain generally light to moderate, though they could occasionally become more active. The prevailing wind direction will shift between northeasterly and northwesterly, with speeds ranging from 10 to 25 kilometres per hour, and gusts potentially reaching up to 35 kilometres per hour at times.
Temperature-wise, Dubai and Abu Dhabi are both expected to record daytime highs of around 25°C on Thursday, offering relatively mild and pleasant conditions. In Sharjah, temperatures are forecast to rise slightly lower, peaking at approximately 24°C. Overnight lows will vary across the emirates, with Abu Dhabi likely to see temperatures drop to about 18°C, Dubai around 19°C, and Sharjah experiencing cooler conditions with lows near 15°C.
Earlier today, the highest temperature measured across the UAE reached 27.3°C. This was recorded in Sweihan, located in the Al Ain region, at around 1:15 in the afternoon, according to NCM data.
Marine conditions in the Arabian Gulf are expected to remain slight to moderate. Tidal movements in the Gulf will see the first high tide occurring at 4:12pm, followed by a second high tide at 5:53am. The first low tide is forecast for 10:10am, with the second expected later in the evening at 10:49pm. These conditions are generally suitable for marine activities, though caution is still advised due to occasional changes in wind strength.
Similarly, the Sea of Oman is forecast to experience slight to moderate sea conditions. The first high tide in this area is expected at 1:03pm, followed by a second high tide at 1:36am. Low tides are predicted to occur at 6:57pm and again at 8:17am. Mariners are urged to stay updated on conditions, particularly during periods of increased wind activity.
Several parts of the UAE witnessed rainfall on Wednesday, particularly in the eastern and northern regions. Fujairah experienced spells of rain, with temperatures in the emirate fluctuating between 17°C and 24°C throughout the day. The showers provided some relief from warmer conditions, while also contributing to cooler overall temperatures.
In Ras Al Khaimah, areas such as Al Huwailat were hit by heavy rainfall. The downpour significantly affected local weather conditions, as forecasts had already suggested that temperatures in the emirate could fall to as low as 13°C on Wednesday. These cooler readings marked a noticeable drop compared to recent days, especially in northern areas.
In response to the changing weather patterns, the NCM issued a weather alert on Wednesday evening. The advisory warned residents and mariners of fresh winds reaching speeds of up to 40 kilometres per hour. The alert also highlighted rough sea conditions in the Sea of Oman, driven by cloud activity and unstable weather patterns. Wave heights were reported to reach up to six feet during this period.
The alert was in effect from 6:55pm until 10pm on Wednesday, urging caution for those at sea and along coastal areas. Authorities advised the public to remain vigilant, particularly fishermen and small boat operators, due to the combination of strong winds and elevated wave activity.Overall, while the general outlook points to relatively mild and stable weather across much of the UAE, residents are advised to stay informed through official weather updates. Occasional cloud cover, fluctuating humidity, and isolated rainfall remain possible, especially in northern and eastern regions, as seasonal weather transitions continue to influence conditions across the country.
