Pakistan Welcomes UAE President on Official Tour

Prime Minister of Pakistan, Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, personally received the UAE President at Nur Khan Airbase. He was joined by key members of the federal cabinet, senior government officials, and high-ranking representatives of Pakistan’s civil and military leadership. The warm reception reflected the significance Pakistan attaches to its close ties with the United Arab Emirates.

As Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed’s aircraft entered Pakistani airspace, it was escorted by a formation of Pakistan Air Force fighter jets, a gesture symbolizing respect, friendship, and the strong defense cooperation between the two countries. Upon landing, a formal welcome ceremony was held in honor of the visiting leader. The national anthems of Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates were played, followed by a traditional 21-gun salute.

An honor guard drawn from Pakistan’s armed forces stood in formation to salute the UAE President, highlighting the ceremonial importance of the visit. Military and traditional bands performed during the reception, adding to the grandeur of the occasion. Along the route from the airbase, groups of schoolchildren waved Pakistani and Emirati flags, expressing goodwill and celebrating the enduring bond between the two nations.

Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed is accompanied by a high-level delegation that includes Sheikh Sultan bin Hamdan Al Nahyan, Adviser to the UAE President; Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Adviser to the UAE President; and Salem Mohammed Al Zaabi, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Pakistan. The delegation also comprises several ministers and senior officials, reflecting the comprehensive nature of the visit and the importance placed on bilateral engagements.

During his stay, the UAE President is scheduled to hold meetings with Pakistan’s top leadership, including Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and President Asif Ali Zardari. These meetings are expected to focus on strengthening strategic cooperation and advancing shared goals. Memorandums of understanding and agreements in key sectors may also be signed, further solidifying the partnership between the two nations.

Pakistan and the UAE share a history of close diplomatic, cultural, and economic relations rooted in mutual respect and shared values.
