Speaking to insider18, aide Sufi Yusoff said Mahathir was conscious after the fall and able to respond. However, he noted that it was still unclear whether the former leader would need to remain hospitalized for an extended period. “At this stage, it is too early to determine if he will be admitted,” Sufi explained. “He is under observation so doctors can assess his condition properly.”
According to the aide, the fall happened while Mahathir was moving from the balcony area of his house into the living room.
