Foggy and misty conditions covered multiple areas of the UAE today, January 3. The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) issued yellow and red fog warnings from midnight until 10 a.m. this morning.
Due to poor visibility on roads, Abu Dhabi Police reduced the speed limit on Maktoum Bin Rashid Road (Al Shahama – Seih Al Sedirah) from 100 km/h to 80 km/h to protect motorists. The NCM had also released a fog warning on January 2, alerting residents to comparable weather conditions.
