Miss Universe 2025 Chaos: Contestants Storm Out, Host in Tears.

“Drama Unfolds at Miss Universe 2025 as Beauty Queens Walk Out Mid-Event, Leaving the Host Overwhelmed and in Tears, Sparking Shock and Confusion Among the Audience and Viewers Worldwide.”

Over 120 women from around the globe convened in Thailand, all competing for the prestigious Miss Universe crown, one of the “big four” international beauty pageants.

However, the lead-up to the event has been overshadowed by behind-the-scenes drama involving the glamorous contestants and their Thai organizers, sparking a feminist controversy that even caught the attention of Mexico’s president.

On Tuesday, Mexican contestant Fátima Bosch made a striking exit—still in her evening gown and heels—after being sharply criticized by Miss Universe host Nawat Itsaragrisil during a meeting.

During a livestream of the incident, Nawat appeared to target Miss Mexico, reportedly calling her a “dumbhead” amid a disagreement over her alleged failure to share promotional posts on social media. He has since denied making that remark.

After Nawat summoned security, Bosch walked out, accompanied by Miss Iraq, who was dressed in an ornate, floor-length gown.

“The way your director treated me was disrespectful—he called me dumb,” Bosch told reporters. “The world needs to witness this because we are strong, empowered women, and this stage is meant to amplify our voices.”

During a live broadcast of the incident, Nawat appeared to single out Miss Mexico, allegedly referring to her as a “dumbhead” during a dispute over claims that she hadn’t shared certain promotional content on social media. Nawat has since denied using that term.

After he called for security, Bosch exited the venue, accompanied by Miss Iraq, who was wearing an elaborate, full-length gown.

“The behavior of your director was disrespectful—he called me stupid,” Bosch told reporters. “People need to see this because we are confident, empowered women, and this platform is supposed to elevate our voices.”

The Mexican Embassy in Thailand announced on Facebook that it remains in regular contact with Bosch and her family but declined to provide additional details.

At the same time, Nawat’s conduct has drawn public criticism from the Miss Universe Organization.

“I will not tolerate any actions that compromise the principles of respect and dignity for women,” declared President Raul Rocha in an emphatic address.

He went on to say that Nawat “has lost sight of what it truly means to be a gracious host,” accusing him of “publicly aggressive behavior” and noting that his involvement in the competition would now be restricted.

Later, Nawat appeared at a press conference dressed in a tuxedo, visibly emotional as he dramatically wiped away tears with a handkerchief, saying he felt “betrayed.”

Despite the controversy, he took center stage at the pageant’s opening ceremony, appearing remorseful before a crowd of smiling contestants as he delivered an apology.

“I’m only human,” he told them. “The pressure can be overwhelming.”

“I never meant to hurt anyone. I have great respect for all of you, and I sincerely apologize.”

This isn’t the first time the Thai business magnate — who also heads the Miss Grand International (MGI) pageant — has found himself at the center of a drama worthy of a soap opera.

Just last year, MGI contestants expressed outrage after being made to sit on plastic chairs and snack on peanuts during what was supposed to be a lavish river cruise in Cambodia.

Even prior to the clash with Miss Mexico, this year’s Miss Universe event had already been surrounded by controversy.

According to Thai media, police launched an inquiry after contestants were accused of recording videos at their hotel featuring pillows emblazoned with the logo of an online casino — an act that could violate Thailand’s stringent gambling laws.

If no further issues arise, the pageant’s grand finale is scheduled to take place on November 21 in Nonthaburi province.
